The Goal
Write, shoot, and edit a short film in 24 hours.
Contest Description
Teams of student* filmmakers will be selected to compete in a time-limited filmmaking contest. Applications are individual, but applicants may express preference for teammates (who must also individually apply). Attempts will be made to honor teammate preferences, but no guarantees will be made prior to the official team selection. Each team will be comprised of from three to six members. Entry to the competition is free.
The Contest
EVERYONE MUST COMPLETE AN ENTRY FORM. DEADLINE TO ENTER THE CONTEST IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, BY NOON. ENTRY FORMS ARE TO BE RETURNED TO SWEM MEDIA CENTER.
The contest kick-off will be Thursday, February 22, 2007, at 6 pm in the Swem Media Center. A public screening of completed projects will be held on Friday, February 23, at 8PM in McGlothlin-Street Hall #20, William and Mary campus. At the screening, the winners of two prizes will be announced: a judges’ prize and an audience prize.
The project must be finished and turned in on a screening-ready DVD that can be read by a DVD player (DVD-R) by Friday, February 23, 2007, at 6 pm. Projects must be brought to the Charles Center, Tucker B2. Only projects that meet the deadline will be screened.

Step 1: Drop off a competed Entry Form at Swem Media Center by February 16, noon.
Step 2: Get Some Sleep
Step 3: Show up at Swem's Media Center on THURSDAY Feb 22, 2007, at 6PM
Step 4: Make, Edit and Burn to DVD your movie
Step 5: Submit your DVD, Submission Form and Release Form to the Charles Center in Tucker Hall, B2, on FRIDAY Feb 23, by 6PM!
Step 6: Relax, then show up for the screening on Friday at 8PM in McGlothlin-Street Hall #20
* 24 Speed is open to student filmmakers from other schools. If you are not a W&M student, you will need to provide your own gear.
