Contributing Content

Have a song, video, or informational podcast that you would like to share with the W&M community?  We'd love to hear from you!  The Library invites and encourages any William & Mary organization, department, or individual to contribute content to the Swem iPod project.

Never created a song or film before and not sure where to start?  The Libray can help!  Swem's state-of-the-art Media Center is fully equipped with all the resources and expertise needed for media production.

Once your content is ready, contact the student Verizon Technology Intern who will convert it to an iPod format if needed, and add it to the Swem iPods.

Important: Patrons who submit content to the iPod project must hold the copyright to all content or verify that the content is in the public domain.

Audiobook and Video Download Restrictions

    • Downloads are restricted to under $40 in iTunes and 1 credit in Audible
    • The Library purchases complete seasons of TV shows, not individual episodes or season passes.
    • The Library will not purchase test preperation guides, or other study guides such as SparkNotes, VangoNotes or CliffsNotes.
    • For audiobooks and video a patron can get one new (previously unpurchased) item and one already purchased item per loan period.
    • Audiobook and videos are available for Swem iPods only.  They cannot be downloaded to personal iPods because of copyright and licensing restrictions.
    • Before requesting a new item, patrons should consider its appropriateness and appeal to a wide campus audience.
