- Census 2000 Supplementary Survey
Reports for the nation and individual states on social, economic and housing characteristics. Consists of 107 tables of data on income, poverty, education, labor force status, ancestry, disability and other topics. Represents effort by Census to produce accurate long-form type data from a sample of 1,203 counties. Similar data will be released in the fall for cities and counties with 250,000+ population.

- How to Research the 1930 Census Microfilm
Offers instructions on how to do Soundex and Geographic searches for family information on the latest personal name census available. The 1930 Virginia Census microfilm rolls are available for viewing at Swem Library. Soundex indexes were completed as a WPA project during the Depression era for 12 southern states, including Virginia. Swem was unable to purchase the Virginia Soundex rolls due to their high cost and the library's tight budget.
