Locker Policies

Small lockers are available on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of Swem Library.

Details about who can check out lockers, fines, fees for lost keys, etc., are available at our Borrowing Privileges Chart.

1st Floor Lockers

The 1st floor lockers are assigned to William & Mary faculty, staff, and graduate students on a first-come, first-served basis, with any W&M faculty, staff, or students with disabilities given preference. Lockers are assigned for one year, with renewals available if others are not waiting.

To check on the availability of Swem Library lockers, please click here. Then scroll to see a list of the lockers. There are five rows of lockers. Row A is the top row, Row E is the bottom row. Locker call numbers indicate the row and locker number. For example, LOC_A06 is locker 6 on the top row; LOC_D19 is locker 19 on the next to bottom row.

To obtain a locker, please visit Swem Library's Circulation Desk.

2nd and 3rd Floor Lockers

The 2nd and 3rd floor lockers are available to all library patrons for short-term (7 days, with one 7-day renewal) use to any patrons with a W&M ID or Swem Library card. Please visit the Circulation Desk to check out a key. To check on the availability of a 2nd or 3rd floor locker, please click here.
