There are 23 group studies available in the library on the first, second and third floors. See the current floor plans for locations. (Group studies are labeled "GS".)
- Use of group studies is restricted to faculty, students, and staff of the College of William and Mary.
- Group studies are intended for collaborative work in the library and should not be used for regularly scheduled seminars, club meetings, or other extra-curricular activities.
- Group studies are available on a first - come, first - served basis. Rooms may not be reserved or “held” by one person.
- Groups of two or more will have preference in the use of group studies .
- Group studies should not be used by a single group for more than three hours.
- Library conduct, food, and drink policies apply to the group studies as they do for the rest of the building. Group studies should be left clean and free of trash.
- Belongings should not be left unattended in the individual studies. The library is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal property.
- Chairs and tables should be left in the positions they were found and furniture should not be moved in and out of the group studies (with the exception of temporarily bringing in a chair or two).
- Library materials should not be left in the group study but should be taken out to a reshelving area.
- Appropriate use of the group studies is on the honor system.
