Every summer, the Digital Humanities Summer Institute in Victoria brings together faculty, staff and students from the arts, humanities, library and archives communities as well as independent scholars and participants from areas beyond. Instruction & Research Librarian, Rachel Hogan, interviewed W&M faculty and grad students who attended the 2023 institute to learn about their experiences.

The purpose of the retreat is to give you uninterrupted time to work on a specific writing project, complete research, edit a manuscript or prepare a grant proposal. The retreat will provide quiet space in Swem, along with food, beverages and (perhaps most importantly) STRUCTURE.
