Technical Details

This site contains the work of several projects the library has sponsored. While we can't give you all the details in such a small space, the site was developed using Adobe ColdFusion and has a smattering of other web technologies (including moo.fx, Spry, script.aculo.us, and prototype, and JQuery). Our search engine is an implementation of Java Lucene and we provide functionality to search multiple indexes at once, or just the index you're currently working with to allow you to discover new and exciting connections between data.

The documents we present were all encoded in XML using the TEI. The transformations are XSLT 2.0 and are delivered on-the-fly using Java, ColdFusion, and Saxon 8.

If you have a specific question on how we did something, it's probably easiest ask on our feedback form.
