The VIVA Outreach Committee invites you to come and take a part in building the future of information literacy efforts in the Commonwealth. Plan now to bring your ideas and brainstorm with your colleagues at the VIVA Across the Curriculum Forum.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Susan Curzon, Dean of the University Library, California State University Northridge, will address the topic: Information Literacy Now! Collaboration, Best Practices, and Strategy. Among her many accomplishments (see http://library.csun.edu/susan.curzon/), Dr. Curzon chaired the Work Group on Information Competence for the California State University, which developed a plan for the entire CSU system. She was also LJ's Librarian of the Year in 1993.

A panel of librarians active in information literacy efforts across the Commonwealth, including Lynn Cameron (JMU), Craig Gibson (GMU), and Don Welsh (W&M), will guide us in exploring promising possibilities for future collaboration across VIVA institutions.
