Brief program outline:

9:00 a.m. Registration and refreshments (D-100)

                    Danish, Muffins and Croissants

Morning sessions beginning at 10:00 a.m. (D-102):  
presentations by trainers from Cambridge University Press, the American Chemical Society, FirstSearch, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts, Ovid, and InfoTrac.
Lunch at Houff Student Center
Afternoon sessions (after lunch until 3:00 p.m.; Building F):
One-on-one sessions with the morning vendors and assistance from VIVA librarians on other VIVA products.  Hands-on practice time.  Training materials will be available.
Registration: No registration fee.     (Lunch is included)              

Registration Deadline July 20, 2001

One person per institution should send a message to viva@gmu.edu and specify

  1. Name and date of event (Training Fair - Aug. 3)
  2. Names, phone numbers and email addresses of up to 2 people per institution to attend
  3. Choice of salad for lunch:
    Chef
    Greek
    Spinach
    Cafe
    (Garden w/grilled chicken & fresh fruit)
    Caesar w/grilled chicken

    (Lunch also includes bread, fruit, dessert and a drink)
Travel: Within state guidelines, travel expenses for participants from VIVA public institutions will be reimbursed by VIVA. See VIVA Travel Guidelines.
